High School Equivalency
Adult Education, as part of the Workforce Innovations and Opportunity Act (WIOA), provides services to adults to build the knowledge and skills necessary for high school equivalency (HiSET), employment, post-secondary opportunities, and economic self-sustainability. WIOA Scholarships
Going back to school to complete a program or get re-trained in a new skill can be the gateway to higher wages and increased job options. Scholarships up to $4,000 per year, after other state and federal financial aid, are available for up to two years of training. Scholarships are awarded based on applicant suitability, eligibility and the availability of training funds. Training must be for an occupation list on the targeted occupations list for Tennessee. Training on the list is available from the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology, Community Colleges, Universities, and other certified programs. CONTACT US for more information.
